LTR has also had several first for the TSCEC circuit. LTR put on the first Renegade enduro. The first Mini race to be held with the big event on Sunday. We were also the first to hold a Class C, 16 and under class, a women's class, and the AA class in our event for the TSCEC circuit. LTR was also the first to use backup sheets at checkpoints in our enduro. LTR still boasts the biggest turn out an event throughout our years with 836 riders.

LTR History

In September of 1970 four men started the Lubbock Trail Riders to promote trail riding in the Lubbock area.  Before the first year was up, the club had grown to 30 members. We put on our first enduro in 1972.

Four men started the Lubbock Trail Riders in September 1970 to promote trail riding.  We landed the Lazy S Ranch at Post, Texas, with over 5,000 acres of land. We put on our first enduro in 1972.  We then lost our lease to the new Post Enduro Association, but in a very short time, we leased the Limon Ranch at Jayton, containing 10,000 acres of the wildest terrain you have ever seen.

In 1980, we moved to a location closer to Lubbock to save gas and were very lucky to land the Glass-Williams Ranch.
